Alan Wake 2 delayed to prevent clashes with other major releases

Alan Wake II is one of the most anticipated games of the year, with Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming survival horror title announced to be launching on the 17th of October. Unfortunately for them, October has quickly become one of the most stacked months of 2023, with the likes of Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and more set to release within days of Alan Wake II. As such, the game has now been delayed slightly to give “more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.”

Red Dead Redemption is getting re-released, will skip PC once again

In recent weeks there has been evidence of an impending Red Dead Redemption-related announcement from Rockstar. Many unfortunately gave the studio a bit too much credit in thinking that this would be a remaster. Red Dead Redemption is not being remastered, but it is coming out again, this time for Nintendo Switch and 'modern PlayStation consoles', skipping PC and Xbox.

Blizzard games are finally coming to Steam

Microsoft and Activision Blizzard could merge as early as next week

This week, a US court officially made its decision on Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, denying the FTC's request to block the merger. This leaves the UK's CMA as the final hurdle against the deal closing and within an hour of the US court decision going public, Microsoft and the CMA announced a plan to pause their appeal battle to renegotiate. At the rate things are going, Microsoft could officially own Activision Blizzard as soon as next week.

Legal document from Microsoft claims Sony is launching a PS5 Slim this year

As part of the ongoing Microsoft FTC hearings, Sony is of course involved due to their vested interest in not wanting the Activision Blizzard acquisition to go through. Ubisoft reportedly has 11 Assassin’s Creed games in the works

Assassin’s Creed is by far one of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises, with the publisher having released a total of 12 mainline titles, 17 spin-offs and a bunch of other transmedia titles since the series’ inception back in 2007. Ubisoft has already announced 6 AC games which are currently in development – but according to reports there are in fact 11 titles in the works.
